International Grain Council (hereinafter – IGC) has announced a preliminary global grain harvest forecast for 2012-2013. The analytics expect the global wheat and fodder grain cultivation area in 2012-2013 crop year could be up to 540 m ha or by 1,9 per cent more, and show a record amount since years 1996–1997. The most significant increase is expected in the Northern America and the CIS.

In the 1-st week of April (the 14-th week 02-04 – 08-04) an average procurement price of rye, fixed by the grain procurement companies, was 644,2 Lt/t, i.e. by 13,8 % more than a month ago (the 10-th week (05-03 – 11-03).

Hit by increasing surpluses and falling prices, the Indian dairy industry is demand¬ing removal of the year-long export ban on milk products.

As industry of production and trade of fertilizers is very sensitive for seasonal influence, spring always shows a significant jump of prices. However since February, 2012 its growth sometimes exceeds 2011 level of the correspondent period.

After a significant decrease of prices for urea in December of year 2011 this tendency has been reverted. In order to satisfy Pakistan demand for the mentioned fertilizer, a slight rise of sales has been noticed in the Black Sea region.

An increasing demand of agricultural land market in 2011 has caused a 12,1 increase in transferred land areas and a significant growth in land sale and rent prices.

After markets of agricultural land recover from economical crisis, activity has been growing for two consequent years. The temp of increasing activity shows 12,1–12,8 per cent annually. Average prices of cultivated land reduced only in 2009 ( a year of the major recession), however in 2010 it recovered and even exceeded level of 2008.

The following growth of harvest was noticed in 2011(compared to year 2010): 15 per cent for grain, 75 per cent for outdoors vegetables, 23 per cent for potatoes, 24 per cent for beetroot and 16 per cent for rape.
