Agrowill Group Animal Production Services Division to be headed by Dr. S. Japertas

Sigitas Japertas, a member of the Lithuanian Dairy Association and Doctor of Biomedical Science, has taken office as the head of the Animal Production Services Division. Dr. Japertas is considered one of the best dairy farming specialists in the Baltic states. The head of the Animal Production Services Division has had practical training in German, Dutch and Danish farms.
Dr. Japertas has set himself the objective of ensuring a better milk quality and increasing cow productivity in farms controlled by Agrowill Group. In his words, “Perhaps the most important factors having the strongest effect on the health of cows and the quality of milk are animal keeping, care, milking and other conditions. Hygiene of persons performing milking can also help to reduce cow morbidity. People are used to washing udders with water. However, it should be borne in mind that every drop of water may increase the amount of bacteria accumulating in the udders.  Therefore, only special foam and towels designed for this purpose should be used.” The head of the Animal Production Services Division has set himself the objective of improving corporate performance, introducing process control and giving special attention to the agrarian knowledge of production specialists.
