Agrowill Group looking for new global markets for Lithuanian milk export

Agrowill Group managers and milk processors have met with a delegation of African businesspeople from Ivory Coast in Riga. Various dairy products and milk powder made of milk produced by Agrowill Group companies were presented to the African businesspeople.  
“In the wake of a dramatic drop in milk prices and economic stagnation, we started looking for new global markets. Import of products made of our milk to Africa generated interest among the businesspeople from Ivory Coast. We can offer competitive prices and a good quality, i.e. the main advantages that should help enter global markets,” Mindaugas Juozaitis, General Manager of Agrowill Group, said.  
According to him, meetings with Kazakh and Iraqi businesspeople will be organised in April in an effort to find new export markets for the Lithuanian dairy industry. In addition, there will also be meetings with representatives of Kazakh public authorities on dairy product exports to this country.  
“Lithuanian dairy market participants must take the opportunity to export products. Our milk powder is of a high quality, while markets such as Africa, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan do not have any natural conditions for producing raw milk and its products. Far from all global suppliers of dairy products are capable of cooperating with those countries due to serious obstacles to trade and non-developed logistic system,” the head of Agrowill Group said.  
In his opinion, this is why Lithuanian milk powder exports have big potential and Agrowill Group will try to use it.
