Agrowill Group ranks as largest private agricultural company in Europe

 Having studied the European Union’s agricultural market and listed companies, investment bank GILD Bankers has established that Lithuanian agricultural company Agrowill Group is the largest private company in Europe in terms of the area of cultivated land declared for EU support. 
Agrowill Group currently controls some 36,000 hectares of farmland, of which 15,000 hectares are owned by the Group. 
“We have observed the EU and global primary agricultural production market for several years already. According to data available to us, small family farms prevail in Europe. Owing to high land prices, consolidation of more than 1,000–2,000 hectares of land is complicated and expensive. Therefore, we can state that our client Agrowill Group is the largest primary agricultural production company in Europe in terms of the area of land controlled by it,” Šarūnas Skyrius, a partner of investment bank GILD Bankers, said. 
In his words, KTG AGRAR, one of the largest German agricultural companies listed on Frankfurt Stock Exchange, cultivates only some 14,000 hectares of land, of which 4,000 hectares are in Lithuania.
