Board of Agrowill Group decides to cut salaries
The Board of agricultural investment and development company Agrowill Group has decided to cut the salaries of Agrowill Group managers. The salaries of the managing staff of Agrowill Group will be reduced by 15%.
“Given a complicated economic situation in the market, particularly in the agricultural sector, we decided that the company’s management should be the first to be included in cost-saving processes,” Mindaugas Juozaitis, the head and a member of the Board of Agrowill Group, said.
He emphasised that the salaries of the staff of Agrowill Group companies would not be reduced and would even be increased for some manufacturing personnel in some cases. Agrowill Group controls 15 agricultural companies.
Juozaitis said that corporate management processes were centralised amid reorganisation of operations of Agrowill Group companies in order to boost operating efficiency, and the Group was therefore reducing the total number of employees. The number of staff is planned to be reduced by some 40% over a year.
This year, Agrowill Group started restructuring the holdings controlled by it. The new operating model should increase the efficiency of dairy farms by up to 40%. This is expected to be achieved through more effective organisation of work, maximisation of the use of existing animal production buildings, gathering together the best qualified specialists and liquidating part-time units duplicating each other’s work.
